Introduction
Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade was blinded while juggling grenades in the Vietnam War. But with the loss of one sense, came the awakening of two others, and his perception of smells and sounds grew sharper and more finely tuned. When our grumpy old man finds himself bebopping with a mysterious creature, his nose and ears are confounded, and he can’t help but ask himself, “Am I cavorting with a big, beautiful woman, or pirouetting with a skunk in a cloud of its fragrant flatulence? Hoo-ha!”
